At a webinar organized by the European Network of Social Authorities (ENSA) on April 15, Dr. Anis Ben Brik, associate professor at the College of Public Policy (CPP) and founding director of the Program for Social Policy Evaluation and Research (PROSPER), addressed the “Global Effects of COVID-19 on Families and Children”. 

The webinar addressed living and housing challenges with inclusive responses in post-COVID times. The discussions aimed at analyzing ways to design inclusive and sustainable environments including both public and private spaces, from houses to elderly care facilities, combining an intergenerational approach, in an effort to leave no one behind. Dr. Ben Brik was invited by ENSA’s Elderly, Disability, Youth and Child Working Groups and the Youth Care Platform to be part of the panel “Updates about the EU and international responses and opportunities”.

Additionally, Dr. Ben Brik took part in the Social Engagement Framework for Addressing the Chronic-disease-challenge (SEFAC) final conference on April 16. The main aim of the event was to provide a multi-stakeholder platform, bringing together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, interested groups, and citizens to explore ways to reduce chronic disease challenges effectively and by efficiently empowering individuals and strengthening the community.
