CPP Professor Presents Lecture on his Book about Land Rush in Africa to Exeter University Graduate Students

Dr. Logan Cochrane, associate professor at the College of Public Policy (CPP), delivered a lecture for graduate students in the MSc Global Governance program at the University of Exeter, UK, on his new book The Transnational Land Rush in Africa - A Decade After the Spike. He was joined by Dr. Ricarda Rösch, who contributed a chapter to the book. The online event was organized by Dr. Athanassios Gouglas, director of the MSc Global Governance, and lecturer in Politics - Public Policy, Exeter. Dr. Logan and Dr. Rösch had the opportunity to engage attendees, which included students and faculty, in a discussion.

The book provides up-to-date information on the African ‘land rush’ over a decade ago, through national case studies of countries that were heavily impacted, offering detailed, long-term assessments of a broad range of national contexts. Tackling the specific questions of land and investment, the book sheds light on the intricate political economy of land governance in Africa.

The Transnational Land Rush in Africa: A Decade After the Spike is published by Palgrave Macmillan. Follow this link for more information on the book
