The Program of Social Policy and Evaluation Research (PROSPER) is a transdisciplinary program that undertakes evaluations and research projects across a wide range of social policy and program areas by advising national and regional policy-makers on the development of evidence-informed policy.

The mission of PROSPER is to conduct research on social policy issues and program evaluation methods as well as to offer evaluation planning, consulting, training and services for local and regional stakeholders.

What makes their work distinct is their emphasis on methodological rigor.

Efforts will be focused on the following critical areas:

  • Engaging graduate students in experiential learning opportunities through PROSPER’s activities.
  • Conducting social policy and program evaluation workshops for local and regional audiences.
  • Providing technical assistance in social policy and program evaluation for local and regional stakeholders.
  • Conducting internal and/or external evaluations for programs and policies.
  • Fostering networks and promoting collaboration between researchers, policy makers, and practitioners, and the community on social policy issues and program evaluation methods.
