Certificate Program: Law In Practice in Qatar

Are you interested in learning about the practical aspects of Qatari law? Do you want to gain new perspectives on key legal issues affecting Qatar?

The College of Law at Hamad Bin Khalifa University is pleased to announce its first certificate program titled “Law in Practice in Qatar.”

Graduates of this certificate program will be given unique insights into matters that are part of the fabric of the Qatari legal culture, and therefore Qatari society at large. The Ministry of Justice of Qatar accepts this course as a path for entry of holders of recognized law degrees into the six-month course offered by the Ministry of Justice’s Legal and Judicial Studies Center.

“Building local justice capacity in the local legal sector through education is in line with Qatar National Vision 2030’s expectation of a Qatari society that promotes justice.” Susan L. Karamanian, Dean, College of Law, HBKU. In addition, the certificate program is an important step to help Qatar achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 16, which recognizes “peace, justice and strong institutions” as being essential to sustainability.
