The Sponsored Research Office (SRO) was launched in December 2016 under the Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) Vice President for Research Office. The SRO contributes to HBKU’s academic and research mission through the provision of pre-award and post-award management for all sponsored research projects.
As part of the continuous improvement by the Sponsored Research Office (SRO), two days of entity based pre-award workshops were held. The workshops provided participants with information related to the pre-award processes and guidelines, as well as an overview on proposal development and submission, and finding and disseminating funding opportunities. The main objectives of these workshops was to equip researchers and faculty members with the tips to submit winning proposals and how to avoid some common mistakes. In addition, the objective of the SRO was discussed including the SRO's role in helping to find funding opportunities.
The workshops took place on 20 & 21 of November 2021 and the key note speakers were Ms. Fahima N Nasr, Dr. Chiara Challeini and Ms. Nour El Huda Khalaf.
