This lecture explores Qaysari’s introduction to his commentary on the Fuṣūṣ al-ḥīkam. 

Dawud Qaysari was among the most capable scholars of classical Sufism and the earliest commentators in the school of Ibn al-Arabi, articulating virtually all of his major themes. 

His Muqaddima is a foundational work, which may be considered a prerequisite for any study on Ibn Arabi’s work and the generations of scholars that followed him.
