A survey is being conducted by Hamad Bin Khalifa University and the Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Foundation for Energy and Sustainable Development, which will offer insight into public acceptance towards reusing treated industrial water and bio-solids from the oil and gas industries for everyday applications. 

The use of treated industrial water (highly purified water from industrial processes) and bio-solids (treated organic by-products of the wastewater treatment process that can be used to condition soils), could provide significant environmental benefits.
