Provost Message 

Dear HBKU students, 

I would like to welcome all new and returning students to Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) for the 2020/21 academic year.

2020 has been an unprecedented and challenging year for the whole world, but I am proud of the way the HBKU community has pulled together. I can assure you that HBKU will continue to meet these challenges and embrace the emerging opportunities that come with it, to ensure we provide our students with a high-quality educational experience.

For those who are new to the university, you are joining a diverse community of students, educators, and researchers, who will lead you through inspiring academic challenges and will enable you to step outside your comfort zone to unleash your inner potential.

Each one of you has been carefully selected from among thousands of applicants from Qatar and across the globe, not only for your academic record but for your potential to fulfill an even greater mission to give back to your community and the world. 

As a student, you are currently enrolled in quality interdisciplinary programs, and our esteemed faculty are here to mentor you through every step of your academic journey with us. I am confident that through their support, you will be able to further envision your educational and personal goals, identify ways to build on them, and equip yourselves with the real-world knowledge and skills needed to succeed.

Teaching and learning at HBKU also extends well beyond the classroom. Therefore, I encourage you to make the most of this amazing journey and take advantage of the many extracurricular activities that our institution has to offer.
