Paper Folding as a Gateway to Geometric Creativity

This workshop will engage participants in a series of geometric paper-folding exercises meant to develop their creative and technical skills. Over the course of three sessions, participants will explore a variety of Islamic patterns brought to life by a series of alternating folds.

The instructor will be live streamed onto a screen in front of the classroom, while an on-site moderator will guide students in creating their artwork.

All materials will be provided.

Workshop Fees:

Free and open to all HBKU students (Priority for students of MS in Islamic Art, Architecture and Urbanism)
