About the Event

This conference is sponsored by the Qatar National Research Fund and hosted by the College of Law and Public Policy (CLPP). It brings together representatives from QU, HBKU, and CNA-Q, as well as renowned international experts, for an interdisciplinary study of the role of law, public policy, energy, management, education and Islamic finance in achieving a low carbon future for Qatar.

Background Information

The conference provides a forum for interdisciplinary dialogue among scientists, economists, educators, business, the government, NGOs, social scientists, lawyers and policy scholars on crosscutting approaches for addressing current challenges and emerging directions in building a sustainable energy future in Qatar. This conference provides a valuable opportunity for those who are interested in engineering, energy law and policy, sustainable energy, sustainable environment, Islamic finance, renewable policy, clean technology and climate policy, to learn from and interact with leading thinkers in these fields.
