Dr. Maryam Hamad Al-Mannai is the Vice President for Student Affairs at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU). She is well regarded in educational circles and possesses a well-documented record of leadership in all key areas of student affairs.

Dr. Maryam joined HBKU having built a distinguished career as an educator in Qatar’s Ministry of Education (MOE). She also served as the Executive Director for Community Relations at Texas A&M University at Qatar, where she had a pioneering role in fostering a culture that encouraged Qatari woman to pursue engineering degrees in co-educational settings. Her illustrious career has been recognized by numerous awards, given in recognition of her work highlighting student welfare issues and for developing various educational strategies that lead to the development of a Community Relations Program at Texas A&M University at Qatar.

In 2010, she was the recipient of the Distinguished Achievement Award in Student Relations from Texas A&M's main campus, in recognition of her continued efforts to support and inspire her students to reach their highest potential.

Her role as VP for Student Affairs encompasses many of the areas she worked in prior to joining HBKU, including admissions, development of community relations, and career development. Her role also involves establishing new programs in the area of student affairs that can accommodate the needs of HBKU’s rapidly expanding community of students.
