Hamad Bin Khalifa University to hold Information Sessions on its Graduate Law Degree on April 5th and April 12th

The Law School of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF) for Education, Science, and Community Development, invites those interested in a legal education to attend upcoming information sessions on its postgraduate Juris Doctor (JD) program. The first will take place on Tuesday, April 5th at the HBKU Student Center in Education City and the second is scheduled for the following week, on Tuesday, April 12th at the Tornado Tower in West Bay. Two sessions will be held each day, at 12:30pm and 4:30pm, providing attendees with essential information about the application process, program components and career prospects. The sessions will also offer prospective students the unique opportunity to meet and engage with Law School faculty and staff.

Targeting graduates from all disciplines, HBKU’s three-year, full-time JD program delivers a unique model of graduate legal education to meet the needs of Qatar and the region. Created through a strategic partnership with Northwestern University School of Law, the program offers comprehensive education in the function of law, whether in Qatar, the region, or internationally. Students will also have the opportunity to take specialized legal courses in specific sectors, identified as vital to the future ambitions of the country, such as energy, health care, infrastructure development, finance and global investment, cultural endowment, and media.

Launched in 2015, the program is comparable with the best of those offered internationally, and is now accepting applicants for its second intake of students. HBKU’s JD is innovative in nature and suited for individuals seeking to deepen their legal knowledge beyond an undergraduate degree. The program trains students’ to develop strong analytical and critical thinking skills, making it an appealing choice for those seeking to become Qatar’s future policy makers or thought leaders, in the public sector, in multinational institutions, and in academia.
